Environmental Compliance and Monitoring
EES provides Environmental Control Officer (ECO) services to ensure projects comply with environmental laws and authorizations. We have extensive experience in linear developments (such as fibre optic trenching, power lines, and road construction) and non-linear projects (including bridges, plants, and disposal facilities). We also conduct on-site safety inspections during ECO work.
Environmental Audits
We conduct independent audits as required for permits and licenses in South Africa, including annual or bi-annual audits. EES also assists with ISO14001 implementation, audit preparation, and works as a subcontractor to certifying bodies (e.g., IRCA, DQS, SABS).
Environmental Authorizations
EES manages the full process of obtaining environmental authorizations, including EIAs, Basic Assessments, and licenses. We guarantee a Record of Decision (RoD) within acceptable timelines by maintaining strong relationships with state departments and ensuring continuous follow-up.
Pollution and Waste Management
We provide practical, cost-effective solutions for managing waste streams, including recycling, reuse, and disposal. EES also manages and operates waste handling systems, from separation yards to full disposal facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while balancing client profitability.
Rehabilitation of Land
Our rehabilitation services cover everything from spill cleanups to restoring historical legacy sites. We use physical rehabilitation or bioremediation techniques depending on project needs. All rehabilitation is conducted in line with DWAF Minimum Requirements for hazardous waste management and includes access to earth-moving equipment when needed.
Environmental and Project Management
EES offers full project management services for environmental-related projects, such as construction of environmental equipment, drilling monitoring wells, or land rehabilitation projects. We ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Environmental Awareness and Training (Capacity Building)
We provide on-site environmental training to build awareness and ensure compliance. Training can be delivered using existing material or tailored to specific project requirements and conducted in the preferred language of participants.
